About
BRGR Haus is the smash burger restaurant of Kura Hulanda Village, at Langestraat 3 in Otrobanda, Willemstad, about 10 minutes on foot from the Mega Pier cruise terminal and a few minutes from the Queen Emma Bridge. It began in 2019 as a backyard pop-up by Josh Rigaud and grew into one of the island's best-known burger kitchens: as of September 2026 it holds a 4.6 rating from more than 500 Google reviews and a 4.2 on TripAdvisor. It opens daily from 12:00 to 22:00, and a second BRGR Haus has since opened on Caracasbaaiweg near the Jan Thiel roundabout; this page is the Village location.
Burgers are built from two 70 g smashed patties on artisan-baked Hokkaido buns, in combinations that run from a classic cheddar build to toppings like truffle mayo, flambeed pineapple, bacon jam and kimchi. The cards also carry buttermilk fried-chicken sandwiches, wings, loaded shareable fries, salads and a short cake list, with a gluten-free bun or Beyond Meat patty available as swaps.
Seating is almost entirely open air. Wooden picnic tables, teak cafe tables and rattan chairs spread across a cobbled courtyard under large sun umbrellas, framed by the pastel timber facades of the village and shaded by mature trees strung with Curacao flags. Inside, a compact wood-clad bar holds the glassware, coffee machine and beer fridges.
Drinks stay casual: beers from Stads Haven and Leopoldinha alongside familiar international lagers, a concise glass-or-bottle wine list, spirits, coffees, and locally made juices in island flavors like tamarind, passion fruit and oregano. Kura Hulanda Village adds live music on Friday and Saturday evenings a few steps from the tables.
