The restaurant sits in a blue-painted colonial building with white louvred shutters. Terrace tables with rattan chairs spread across the courtyard under large cream umbrellas and string lights, around a tiered stone fountain, with murals of old Willemstad street scenes on the surrounding walls and blue steps painted with the Viva name leading up from the street.
Inside there is an air-conditioned dining room with banquette seating, floral-print chairs and framed photos on the walls, plus a long bar counter under woven pendant lamps, backed by shelves of spirits, glassware and a wine fridge. More seating hides among ferns and tropical planting at the street-side entrance under the palm trees.
