Our Story

Started in 2019, Born from Frustration

We kept seeing the same thing: visitors stuck on crowded tour buses, following rigid schedules, eating at the same tourist traps, missing everything that makes Curaçao special.

So we started something different. Personal tours with guides who were born here, who know which food truck makes the best pastechi, where the locals actually swim, which street in Otrobanda has the best photo angles at sunset. What started as a solo operation grew into a full-service tour company with five guides and vehicles for any group size.

No scripts. No megaphones. Just real conversations in air-conditioned vehicles, stops at spots that aren't on Google Maps, and the kind of day you'd have if your friend from the island was showing you around.

We pick you up from your hotel or cruise port. We adjust the itinerary if someone spots something interesting. We stop at a local spot for lunch because the owner is a friend and the food is incredible, not because there's a commission deal.

That's it. That's what we do. And after five years, over 1,000 guests, and hundreds of five-star reviews, we think we're onto something.

City

The Colors of Punda

Walk through Punda at 7 AM and you'll hear three languages before you hit the floating bridge. The buildings aren't just painted bright colors for tourists. The story goes back to 1817 when the governor claimed white paint caused headaches in the sun.

Real or not, now you've got mustard yellows, coral pinks, and turquoise blues that look impossible in photos but somehow work in person. The Rif Fort turned shopping district. The Handelskade waterfront where every building seems to lean a different direction.

The street vendors selling fresh coconut water and stroopwafels because yes, Dutch influence is everywhere. And when that bridge opens for a ship, the whole city just... pauses. Traffic stops. People chat. Nobody's in a rush.

Sea

Water That Looks Fake

People always ask if we edit the photos. We don't. The water really is that blue: some mix of white sand, shallow reefs, and Caribbean sun that makes it glow electric. Playa Kenepa on a calm morning looks like someone poured liquid sapphire into a postcard.

You'll see sea turtles at certain beaches, just casually swimming five feet from shore like it's normal. And the west coast stays calm almost year-round, so you're not fighting waves; you're floating in bathwater watching fish dart around your feet.

Then there's the north coast where the waves hit volcanic rock and explode into spray twenty feet high. You can't swim there, but you can stand at Watamula and watch the ocean just obliterate the shoreline. It's loud, dramatic, and nothing like the tourist brochure beaches.

Nature

Cactus, Caves, and Iguanas

Most Caribbean islands are jungle. Curaçao is desert. You've got divi-divi trees bent sideways from decades of trade winds. Kadushi cacti that grow taller than buildings. Limestone caves where Arawak people left drawings 1,500 years ago.

Christoffel Mountain in the north is only 1,200 feet but the hike is steep, rocky, and hot. The view from the top? You can see the entire island and Venezuela on a clear day.

Wildlife is subtle here: iguanas on every trail (the locals are completely unfazed), tiny deer in Christoffel Park, flamingos in the salt flats by Jan Kok. And every few kilometers there's another plantation house ruin, pastel walls crumbling into the scrub. It's beautiful, but it's rugged.
